In the suggestive setting of the Lino Cavallo multimedia room at the Palazzo del Comune of Modugno, on Sunday 17 December, the Real Queen 2023 Christmas Tournament took place with great success. This event represents the second chapter of a tradition that has already seen last year its highly appreciated first edition.
The tournament brought together the community linked to the project, with participants of all ages who challenged each other ball after ball in always different and exciting games. Some faces were already known in the lively local community, while others came to know us for the first time bringing fresh and contagious energy to the group. This diversity of participants contributed to creating a unique and inclusive atmosphere typical of our Real Queen events, founded on the love for the game of marbles made in Modugno and the pleasure of spending quality time and healthy competition together.
The event was full of discussions, thanks also to the welcome presence of Councilor Antonio Alfonsi, who once again demonstrated his support and closeness to the Real Queen project. The participation of a local institutional figure contributed to giving the tournament an even more significant character, underlining the importance of initiatives such as these in the context of building a cohesive and supportive community.
An aspect of this edition that we particularly care about was the social commitment of the Real Queen Christmas Tournament. The proceeds from the registrations and a part of the proceeds from the sales of each package were allocated to the Pugliese Association for the Fight against Hemopathies and Childhood Cancers (APLETI) of Bari. This choice demonstrates the will of the organization and the participants to actively contribute to the well-being of the community, demonstrating that the Christmas spirit is also synonymous with solidarity and generosity.
The highlights of the day were naturally the competitions, where the participants gave their all to excel and take home the title of champion of the 2023 Real Queen Christmas Tournament (in addition to the rich prizes up for grabs). At the end of the challenges, the top three classified deserved everyone's sincere compliments and celebratory plaques: Davide Bronsini (first place), Alessandro Esposito (second place) and Giuseppe Scarcelli (third place).
